Mushroom Pulao (Pulav)

This Vegetarian Pulao is an easy to prepare and healthy dish - a universal recipe liked by all. Probably a good choice for low spice and less hot food lovers


Steam Flavored Rice

  1. To a hot pan add some butter. Add cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and stir it for sometime
  2. Add onions and stir till it turns brown
  3. Add Basmati rice and mix it well
  4. Now add water, some salt and transfer this mix to a cooker or steam it till the rice is cooked
Get set to prepare the vegetable gravy in next step!


 

As your flavored rice is being cooked, you can prepare the vegetable mix.


Vegetable gravy

  1. To a hot pan add some ghee and then the recommended vegetables and Mushrooms
  2. Add some salt and then the lemon juice
  3. Stir the contents for sometime and cook it in medium flame until it becomes soft
  4. Check if your rice is cooked
  5. Mix the cooked vegetables to the steamed rice and top it with garam masala
  6. Mix the contents well and ensure that the masala is spread equally
  7. To give some flavor sprinkle some coriander leaves

Your simple Mushroom steamed rice - Pulao, is now ready to serve!
