Modak Filling
- Heat a pan, add ghee and then shredded coconut to it. Fry it till pale brown.
- Add Jaggery to this and then Cardamom powder
- Stir it till Jaggery melts and becomes sticky
Modak dough
- Add Ghee to the rice powder and mix it with hot water.
- Add sufficient water to make it semi solid consistency
Modak Moulding
- To a dumpling mould apply some oil and then spread the dough
- Slowly extract the dumpling out of the mould.
- Place the dumplings in a steamer for about 10 to 15 minutes until its cooked
