Marination
Ingredients : Chilly powder, Turmeric powder, curry leaves, salt, oil and Prawns- Mix chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt with oil to a paste. To this paste add few curry leaves.
- Add prawns to this and mix well until the prawns are covered with the paste.
- Allow the prawn to marinate for 30 minutes
Cooking the gravy
Ingredients: Coconut, ginger, green chilly, mango, curry leaves- Grind the coconut, ginger and chilly to a smooth paste
- Cut the raw mangoes into cubes and boil it until soft
- Now add the ground coconut paste and bit of curry leaves.
- Add sufficient water and salt as required
- Allow this to boil until the prawns are fully cooked.
Seasoning
Ingredients: Shallots, Oil and red chilly powder- Clean the shallots and slice it to small pieces
- Add oil to a seasoning pan and heat it
- As the oil heats up add the sliced shallot, chilly powder and stir till it turns brown
- Cut off the flame and add this seasoned shallot to the cooked gravy
