Huli Huli Grilled (Hawaiian) Chicken

Loading       Preparation = 4-5 hrs   Cooking = 25 min  

A continental grilled chicken recipe prepared with Pineapple juice. This Hawaiian chicken will certainly impress all!


Marination

  1. Prepare Pineapple juice from semi ripe fruit and without any water
  2. Mix all the marination ingredients to this juice - Soya sauce, brown sugar, tomato ketchup, chopped ginger & garlic, chopped spring onion (only onion) and salt. Mix it well.
  3. Option to add chicken stock.
  4. Add chicken to this mixture and leave it overnight or at least for 4-5 hrs
Once marinated follow the steps in next slide to cook and grill

Ready with marinated chicken drumsticks, now time to roll!


Cooking

  1. Add marinated chicken to a pan and top it with white pepper
  2. Cook it covered until the sauce becomes semi solid and chicken becomes soft

Grilling

  1. Add butter or vegetable oil in a grilling pan and add the cooked chicken to it.
  2. As the name says Huli (which means turn around in Hawaiian) the chicken till it turns brown on both sides
Garnish with grilled pineapple and serve it Garlic bread
